studioFOLD is an art & design studio based on the UK’s South Coast, driven by artist Esther Yarnold’s 13 years’ experience in the Creative Industries.
FOLD’s emphasis is on collaboration and co-production across many fields including design for print, logo/identity design, design for web, public art, project management, event/festival production, curation, consultation and education.
About Esther
I graduated from my Fine Art degree in 1999 and have been freelancing ever since. I also hold a BTEC in Photography, a Foundation Degree in Interactive Media and an MA in Book Arts.
Since graduating I have worked closely with Lighthouse Poole’s Centre for the Arts - from 1999 to 2001 I was Project Assistant for Volcano, Poole Arts Centre’s three year outreach programme, before establishing and managing the Image Lab for them until 2006. Between 2006 and 2012 I co-managed the Image Lab with designer Ben Trill. Since 2012 I have been teaching digital communication across BA Fashion Studies and BA Fashion Design & Technology at The Arts University Bournemouth.
I collaborate regularly with artists, writers and curators. I have curated and produced projects and events with Helen Pritchard and Sally Curtis, and am currently working with David Churchill at Wonkaweb to offer advanced web development services.
